Building a new suit of armour can be quite an elaborate project if it requires extensive research and some experimentation. In a detailed project report (in German), our signifer looks back on many hours of work in building his new armour and reports in detail on the many steps from the idea to the first use of the scale armour. Besides a lot of manual work to process almost 2000 scales and over 300m of thread, this also included some trials to find good solutions for the tricky, important spots. The result after more than 300 hours of work was undoubtedly worth every minute.
